Lacie Home Server to Launch November 2007

Whilst Lacie appear to be absent from today’s Windows Home Server Press Preview in Berlin, Microsoft did reveal that their system will hit the market in November. Here’s the league table of who’s releasing when (in Europe). HP are skipping the holiday period completely over here.

Microsoft’s “Official Word” on Windows Home Server Availability

The Windows Home Server Team blog officially bursts the bubble about that August 27th date. Their view? Hold on. You’ll be able to buy the System Builder SKU soon, but it’s down to their distributors when and for how much. Feel free to get in touch if you see WHS RTM roaming free outside Australasia!

Windows Home Server – Release Imminent

I’ve just had confirmation from a reseller here in the UK that they’re expecting delivery of the Windows Home Server System Builder software in the next few days. Release was scheduled for August 1st, but has been delayed slightly. With any luck, you should be running RTM by the end of the month!
