Whilst many will use the HP TouchPad as an entertainment device, happily tapping and gesturing away at its multitouch screen, the device also has a role to play in the workplace. HP Pulls Out of the Windows Home Server Market, Leaves Vail Out in the Cold
HP today announced an immediate withdrawal from the Windows Home Server market, citing a strategic realignment caused by the company’s recent acquisition of Palm, and focus on WebOS device development in 2011. The company will not support Microsoft’s next-generation home server platform, whilst plans are yet to be announced for the support of Microsoft’s forthcoming small business server SKUs.

HP Begins Small Business Sales Push for Drobo
In a surprise move, HP are set to begin selling Data Robotics Inc.’s line of Drobo storage devices, according to reports. Despite targeting consumers with the HP MediaSmart Server and small businesses with the HP Data Vault range, the company will have 200 call center employees trained on supporting sales of the Drobo from today.
