It is time for another NAS review. Today, I finally finished up taking a look at the brand new Synology DS410j 4-bay NAS device. The question is whether you see a NAS device in your future. Do you?
Hands On: Synology DS410j NAS
Hands On: QNAP TS-219P Turbo NAS
Today, I am taking a look at what the Network Attached Storage, or NAS, world has to offer. When QNAP offered to send me one of their NAS storage units for a review, I became quite excited about being able to take a look at the features and benefits of such a device. Whether you are in the market for an NAS device, or just curious about them, read on.
Hands-On: Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive 1TB
Iomega positions the Home Media Network Hard Drive as THE EASIEST WAY TO STORE, PROTECT, SHARE, AND ACCESS ALL YOUR DIGITAL FILES! (the caps and exclamations belong to their marketers), and, as a single drive NAS device it’s certainly intended for those taking their first steps in networked storage and streaming….

Hands-On: Cisco Media Hub NMH405
The Cisco Media Hub is at the forefront of the network giant’s new push into the consumer space. We got hands on with the new hardware and found that it sets a new standard in ease of use with a polished user experience that’s great to use remotely or in the home. There’s still a few niggles to iron out, and it’s most definitely not a backup device in the way Windows Home Server is – but what it does, it does with style.

Hands-On: Synology Cube Station CS407
NAS device or Windows Home Server? Interesting question. NAS device AND Windows Home Server? More interesting question.
