Western Digital Punts a New My Book Studio for Mac, But Where’s The Thunder?

Western Digital this week announced a brand new release of it’s My Book Studio hard drive. Shipping is capacities of 1TB – 3TB and clad in that same silver aluminium finish that the Mac guys and gals love, the My Book Studio utilises Firewire 800/400 and USB 2.0 interfaces for pumping data between the Mac and its platters.

Seagate today announced the world’s first 3TB desktop drive, in the form of the FreeAgent GoFlex Desk External Drive. The $249.99 external USB drive is compatible with USB 2.0 and 3.0 standards on Mac or PC.
