I’ve been around PC’s since I got my 1st PC XT aloooong time ago. WGS is one of the first sites I found centered around WHS. And the best. Every once in awhile, I do get away from the KB and enjoy time with and my wife and our 4 kids. And I do have a day job.
The guys over at Mediasmartserver.net released another update to their WHS Health add-in, bringing this add-in up to v1.0.0.13.

There is an axiom somewhere that states “data will expand to fill available storage space”. Many of the OEM WHS solutions available today are 4-bay appliances. Fill them with 1.5TB drives (the current sweet spot of cost/TB ratio), add a few movies (or more), and turn on folder duplication. What do you have? No HDD space!

Every once in awhile, I see a thread started in the forums on using a WHS as a print server. As my printer has an Ethernet port, I never really paid much attention to these threads as a result. That all may change due to a company called ThinPrint.

Engadget is reporting that nVidia’s latest chipset, the Ion 2 is now official. There are a lot of words I like hearing together: netbooks; HDMI; 1080p Blu-ray and Flash playback; Windows 7 Home Premium; mainstream gaming; 10 hours of battery life.
