Bowers & Wilkins have today launched their most premium headphone, the P9 Signature. This is one of their Anniversary products and has been released to celebrate fifty years of Bowers & Wilkins.
The £699.99/$899.99 P9 Signature certainly looks the part, using all the skill and craftsmanship that we have learned to expect from B&W. They feature Italian Saffiano leather, aluminium folding arms, and even comes with a luxury Alcantara case.
But, like any B&W product, the looks are secondary to the sound. The engineers have integrated some clever technology into these cans, decoupling each earcup to reduce distortion and using an advanced new drive unit that enables precision highs and great bass.
One thing that Apple iPhone 7 owners may find frustrating is the lack of a lightning cable, but B&W are planning to ship a free cable to owners from early 2017. Or you could always pick-up a pair of the more affordable wireless B&W P7W’s in the meantime. Look out for reviews of both in the near future.
