Looks like a great idea as then you can share the videos around your WHS based network easily. Also not being forced to use other crap YouTube interfaces that your other devices might try to convince you that can do the job *cough xbox 360 *cough is real plus point.

Dosen´t work on German Version of WHS2011…
    :-(

    • Gunnar Peipman

Hi German, what are the problems you faced? I’m glad if can help you out.

i think that we can’t see this in dashboard. it is not realy an addin for whs2011. it is an msi installer. i wonder

  • Minto

Great add-in. There is one thing I have noticed, when you
get the drop down option to view the library, a user that doesn’t have access
to the share can still download into it. It also displays all the shares on the
WHS that are not $ shares.

Are you able to either restrict what the user sees, if the
user doesn’t have access to the share it shouldn’t be able to view the folder
names or hardcode a share name like YouTube (or anything of your choice).

For a beta release this add-in is amazing.

    Thanks

A teeny bit of documentation would be helpful here. Issues:
    - does not show up in add-ins
    - prompts user to choose an install location, defaulting to rootprogram filesGunnar PeipmanWHS YouTube Downloader, however regardless of what is chosen here, the files install… somewhere else. Either the chosen folder is never created, or files never appear there.
    - Only on a hunch, close reading of your bit of text here, and looking at your screenshot did I realize you mention it is available via web-access… at which point i logged in that way and found the new options.
