Following the recent introduction of their DS712+ 2-bay NAS unit, Synology announced today their newest models to round out their 2-bay NAS lineup.

The DS212+ is anchored in the SMB lineup, while the DS212 and DS212j are part of the Home to Business Workgroup segment and Home to Small Office segment respectively.

Normally, you will administer your Windows Home Server 2011 system with the Dashboard application. But to perform this task you will need to log onto your server’s desktop. If you run your server without a keyboard, video, and mouse you will need to log on with a Remote Desktop Connection.
