Over at Pixel Valley, Andy and Christof are looking for beta testers for their new file:recon app for Windows Phone 7. The app links in neatly with Server Transfer Manager for Windows Home Server 2011 to allow the management of file transfers to and from the server using your handset.
In a post over on the blog, they say:
Hey y’all!
Big news today. As our latest project gets closer to completion, we want to give you the opportunity to get your hands dirty and test it for us. As always we depend on your feedback.
If you decide to examine file:recon beta it would be great if you’d consider these topics:
- usability
- bugs
- typos
- overall user experience
- etc.
You will be able to leave your feedback on the marketplace or – if you prefer – on our blog.
There are no special skills necessary, however there are some requirements you’ll have to meet:
- you’re the owner or user of a Windows Home Server 2011 or Small Business Server 2011
- you’ve Server Transfer-Manager installed on your WHS/SBS 2011
- a Windows Phone 7 is in your possession and it has access to the internet
- you are willing to give us detailed feedback
That’s it. Piece of cake!
All you’ll have to do now is send us an email and let us know why you want to test file:recon
If you’re chosen you will receive a mail with further details on the beta testing phase as soon as the beta is ready.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
