Add-in Update: KeepVault 4.10 for Windows Home Server

Proxure has released an update to their online data backup add-in, KeepVault.

This latest release, v4.10, introduces a new pricing structure for KeepVault Pro and a couple of new features for both KeepVault and KeepVault Pro.

Specifically, the KeepVault Pro enhancements are:

  • new flat rate pricing of $0.15/GB/month (when paying yearly) and no per device/seat fees
  • buy exactly the storage you need, eg no pricing tiers just buy what you need and upgrade at any time
  • enhanced backup reports web console showing details per device on the state of your backups

While the enhancements that pertain to both KeepVault Pro and KeepVault are:

  • web access available to both Pro and regular users
  • new mobile enhanced website with WebApp for iOS users
  • Live chat support in addition to email support

It is our understanding at WGS that with increased usage and decreased storage costs, the result is a savings to the end user.  Now, if we can just replace all that cable with fiber-optic we could all have 100Gbit bandwidth on our Internet connections, and have instant access to all that cloud data!

Note that KeepVault supports Windows Home Server v1 as well as Windows Home Server 2011, Windows Small Business Server Essentials 2011, and Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials.

About Jim Clark

Hello. I’m from the heartland of the U.S. Lots of corn and beans, although Iowa is a lot more than just farmland. It also has a few computer enthusiasts (no, not me!). I’ve been around PCs since I got my 1st PC XT aloooong time ago. WGS is one of the first sites I found centered around WHS. And the best. Every once in awhile, I do get away from the KB and enjoy time with and my wife and our 4 kids. And I do have a day job.
