Movie & TV metadata specialist Binnerup Consulting today announced the release of My Movies for Windows Media Center v4 and its supporting service, My Movies Collection Management.
My Movies allows you to create and manage your digital collection of Movies on Windows Media Center, with automatic collation and cataloguing of metadata for each title, including plot synopses, covert artwork and cast and crew information. Amongst a wide range of updates, TV Series and programmes are supported in the new edition – a much sought after feature request from existing owners.
In a busy time for the developers, the company have also announced the release of free editions of companion apps for iPhone, iPad and Android – these are limited to collections of 50 titles or less, with Pro editions available to buy for larger collections. As previously featured here at WGS, a pre-release of the My Movies for Windows Home Server 2011 was issued a while back – the full release is expected in 2-3 weeks time.
If you’re a Mac user, then you’re also in luck – My Movies Collection Management for Mac (OSX) is also on the way. The developers are focusing the Mac edition on a more visual presentation of your movie collection as obviously the front-end Windows Media Center plugin will not work with OSX. (My vote would be for a Plex add-in, guys).
