Preview – file:recon for Windows Phone 7 & Windows Home Server 2011

We’ve previously mentioned the forthcoming Server Transfer Manager for Windows Home Server 2011, highlighting that the download management add-in will work directly with a Windows Phone 7 app. A preview of that app, now named file:recon has now been published over at Pixel Valley.

file:recon puts the power of Server Transfer Manager in your hand(set) – specifically allowing you to:

  • add new up-/downloads with full html/ftp/filehoster support
  • editing running transfers
  • schedule transfers

As you can see from the preview images above, the app allows you to remotely control uploads and downloads to and from the server using your Windows Phone 7 handset. The summary screen shows a variety of stats for file transfers, whilst the settings screen allows you to connect the app to your server. Transfers provides you with the details of what’s happening including:

  • transfer direction
  • filename
  • the correlating filehoster
  • filesize
  • transfer date and time
  • download status

and when you click on an entry, there’s a host of additional details available.

file:recon for Windows Phone 7 is set to launch in June. Check back as more details are released.
