Sigma Designs Announces Support for Adobe Air, Flash and XBMC on New Chips

System on Chip manufacturer Sigma Designs today announced that their forthcoming SMP8910 and the SMP8670 Secure Media Processors would natively support a range of media development platforms, including Adobe AIR for TV, the Espial Browser with support for Adobe Flash Player, a Hardware Accelerated Open GL ES 3D UI Framework, and XBMC (XBMC Media Center).

Intel Unveils Second Generation Core Processors With Integrated HD Graphics and Media Features

Intel today unveiled their second generation Core processor family at CES, with more than 20 new processors, wireless adaptors and chipsets announced at the show. They include including new Intel Core i7, i5 and i3 processors, Intel 6 Series Chipsets, and Intel Centrino WiFi and WiMAX adapters. The company expects over 500 new desktop and laptop PCs to be announced this year with the new technology.
