Combined Blu-ray & Hard Drive Caddy On the Way for Popcorn Hour

Yesterday I met with the team from Syabas Technology to hear their 2011 plans for the Popcorn Hour and Popbox. We discussed a wide range of initiatives that the company will be announcing very soon (and I won’t steal their thunder), but one very cool product I did spot is a brand new slim-line Blu-ray player from LG that the company will be selling soon for the Popcorn Hour C-200.

Western Digital Takes a Leap Forward With the WD TV Live Hub

One of the more impressive devices I’ve seen here at CES this week is Western Digital’s WD TV Live Hub. Launched back in October, Western Digital’s next generation media player streams media across the network and includes local storage for holding downloaded content from top-tier content providers including Netflix and Blockbuster on Demand. Other services available include YouTube, Pandora, Live365 and more.

Dell Intros New 4G Capable Streak Tablet, Venue Smartphone and 3D Gaming Rigs at CES

This morning at CES it was over to the Palms Hotel where Dell took over the Rain nightclub to showcase their new products for 2011. Steve Felice president of Dell’s Consumer, Small and Medium Business unit unveiled a new Dell Streak 7 4G-enabled tablet, a new smartphone in the shape of the Android 2.2-based Venue, an XPS branded laptop with 3D screen and a range of new Alienware 3D-enabled gaming rigs.

Boxee Inks New Hardware, Content Partnerships and Teases iPad App

Viewsonic and Boxee today announced a partnership to bring the Boxee media platform to a range of “smart TV” solutions in 2011. The partnership is the third announced by Boxee, following similar deals with D-Link in 2010, and Iomega this week.
