D-Link Unveils New IP Cameras With Night Vision, Monitoring via iOS, Android and Boxee

Completing D-Link’s CES announcements this year are a range of new IP surveillance cameras for the home, which include the ability to monitor your premises from a range of devices including Apple’s iPad, iPhone/iPod Touch, Android devices, and for the first time, Boxee.

The new models upgrade the feature set delivered in the company’s previous generation DCS-930L Wireless N Camera with night vision, and include Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), Motion JPEG and 20fps video streaming.

The new Day/Night Wireless N Camera (DCS-932L) connects to D-Link’s “mydlink” portal, which allows video streams to be monitored remotely over the web. However, new this year is apps for the major mobile device platforms, as well as support for the D-Link’s own Boxee Box. The iPad edition of the mydlink app can monitor up to four simultaneous camera streams according to the company.

The DCS-932L will be available in early Q2/2011 with a street price of under $150. Both mydlink iPhone and Android apps are available now. Mydlink iPad and Boxee Box apps will be available in Q1/2011.
