Acer Prices Revo 100 HTPC at £599

Acer have today revealed final details of their slimline Acer Revo 100 HTPC, which is now available at a list price of £599.99. The small footprint PC was previewed at this year’s IFA trade show in Berlin back in August.

The Revo 100 is powered by AMD’s Athlon II Neo dual-core processor, combined with the NVIDIA ION GPU for full 1080P high definition video support. Up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM is supported, alongside an internal TV Tuner and a choice of DVD burner or Blu-Ray disc drive. When connected to a compatible display via HDMI, the Revo 100’s Blu-Ray drive fully supports 3D playback. Storage up to 750GB can be configured, with additional connectivity supported by 3 USB 2.0 ports, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Wired LAN and a multicard reader.

One of the highlights of the new model is the bundled RevoPad, a touch-sensitive keyboard/remote/touchpad which integrates neatly into the Revo 100’s chassis, providing full media controls as well as web, email browsing and control of two-foot applications.

The Acer Revo 100 is shipping now.

Nice, but I'd still rather have my new mac mini with windows on it. The revo's price is too high

I have a Tranquil ixL i5 with 8 gb DDR3 ram and that cost £793, fanless, silent and warms my hands. A simlar spec'd mac would be about £1200 so I recommend the ixL as an alternative HTPC ( even though I am using mine as a desktop pc linked to my T2 WHS)

I considered the low powered REVO's but opted for the better processor

This thing is begging for an AMD APU to help reduce that cost.
