Family Diary is a suite of applications to allow you to store appointments and contacts for your family and friends. The suite works across the PCs in your home, and includes a Windows Service, a Windows client application, an Outlook Add-in and a Windows Home Server Add-in. All data is stored on the home server where is can be accessed and updated by users on other PCs in the home.
Appointments can be displayed in a number of views, including:
Day View
This view shows all appointments for the selected day and family member. Double clicking on an appointment allows for editing or deleting the appointment.
Month View
Month view allows you to see all appointments for the selected month and family member, it is similar to day view but shows all the appointments for the month.
Member View
Member view displays all appointments for the selected family member.
The add-in for Outlook allows the importing and exporting of appointments to and from the family diary to your Outlook calendar. Once set up, Outlook will contact the home server automatically for updates to the diary. On the home server, the Family Diary add-in manages the messaging service required to send and receive diary data to and from your PCs, as well as manage user security settings for family members
