About Jim Clark

Hello. I’m from the heartland of the U.S. Lots of corn and beans, although Iowa is a lot more than just farmland. It also has a few computer enthusiasts (no, not me!). I’ve been around PCs since I got my 1st PC XT aloooong time ago. WGS is one of the first sites I found centered around WHS. And the best. Every once in awhile, I do get away from the KB and enjoy time with and my wife and our 4 kids. And I do have a day job.

Now that's just getting silly…gonna be a pain to pull out of the socket!

It does seem you pay for the small size too – 4 or 5 times the price of a standard 4GB USB stick.

It makes sense to try to keep portable devices within reasonable size and weight, but I don't see the benefit here. The smaller the size, the bigger the chance of getting lost.

I'd use this if it is FAST – like full 480Mbit/sec. I could plug it into my laptop and use as a Windows ReadyBoost drive. With that size, I won't have to unplug it from the laptop.

Nothing to see here, folks, this is lame. I have had mico SD cards in USB holders this small for over a year, at the cost of the SD card. And the card is removable, to be put into a cell for example. Stupid product for stupid people.

The formfactor is great for someone who wants to leave the usb in place permanently for readyboost use or as an extra drive. You leave it in your laptop and forget about it and it won't stick out in your laptop bag… except for that annoying metal lanyard holder sticking out.
