Netflix Expands it’s Horizons

netflix logo thumb Netflix Expands it’s Horizons

In case you have not heard, Netflix is that popular DVD/BD rental service here in the U.S.  Watch movies that you can get by mail or stream to your favorite media device.  You can even stream TV episodes, all for $8.99 + $2.00 (for BD) a month.

According to ZDNet and confirmed on the Netflix website, Canada will soon be able to enjoy the same unlimited movie rentals for one low monthly rate as we do in the US.  According to the ZDNet article, our neighbors up north will have access sometime this fall.

hmm.  It took 13 years to move one country north.  I wonder how long you guys across the pond will have to wait.

About Jim Clark

Hello. I’m from the heartland of the U.S. Lots of corn and beans, although Iowa is a lot more than just farmland. It also has a few computer enthusiasts (no, not me!). I’ve been around PCs since I got my 1st PC XT aloooong time ago. WGS is one of the first sites I found centered around WHS. And the best. Every once in awhile, I do get away from the KB and enjoy time with and my wife and our 4 kids. And I do have a day job.

And Rogers, who owns the pipe in many areas, has just lowered the caps on 2 of its internet plans. This will, according to some reports, mean that Rogers could well make more $ from overage fees than regular plans. The pipe is not neutral!
