Over the last few weeks, I've been thinking about expanding the forums here at We Got Served. With almost 50,000 registered members, and a lot of guest traffic, WGS is a brilliant community resource for Windows Home Server discussion and support – better than I'd ever hoped it could be when opening the forums a couple of years ago.
It struck me that all of the expertise and enthusiasm you had was limited predominately to WHS here at the site, but I'm sure we all have technical issues outside of Windows Home Server – why not seek support for those problems here, rather than on another site? I'd rather trust your advice than someone posting on another forum, and I’m sure many of our readers feel the same.
So, to that end, after a discussion with our forum moderators here, I've opened up discussion forums for Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP in which we can share and support the issues we all face on a day to day basis with our home and small office PCs. Don't worry, they're not replacing the Windows Home Server discussion, but hopefully will broaden the advice and support we can provide the community at large with discussion on Windows clients, as well as servers.
I hope they prove as popular and useful as our WHS forums – that depends on how well they're utilised! So, put the WGS community to the test, and throw out your thorny PC issues – let's see if we can help out!
