I have a confession to make. I have this Synology DS210j sitting here next to my HP X510 and I really like what I am seeing. The confession? It is simply gorgeous. It is simply small. VERY small. I sit there and imagine all the crooks and crannies I could stuff this little box into. It is simply amazing how small 4 terabytes (potentially) can be.
OK, enough of that. It is time to look at another Synology NAS device in the the form of the DS210j.
The DS210j is part of the Synology Personal to Home Office NAS lineup. As such, it is designed to be a budget-friendly 2-bay device for home use. Not that it is lacking in horsepower, simply because when combined with a Linux implementation, the combination can produce very good performance.
