Over in Australia, Acer held a shindig yesterday to preview their new 2010 ranges. PC Authority reports that in amongst the new PCs, two products in particular piqued their interest (and ours!).
First up is the Acer RevoView Digital Media Receiver. Acer representatives were sketchy on the details, but the name suggests similarities to the ION-based Aspire Revo nettop.

The DMR comes with a 2TB hard drive for local storage, a front loading media card reader as well as USB ports for playback from an external hard disk. HDMI, composite and component video outputs are available, so we’d be very surprised if it didn’t support high definition video. Support for AVI, MP4, Mov, VOB, RMVB and more, as well as “a few obscure codecs” is included (perhaps PC Authority isn’t rocking MKV and H.264 yet?). Much like every other DMR available today, expect to be able to view YouTube videos on your TV via the RevoView.
No word on pricing or availability as yet.

As we revealed on Monday, Acer will also be releasing an updated Aspire easyStore Home Server shortly, and at the Australian event the new H341 was also on show. Listed at $599 AUS (£358/$534), the base model down under will give you 1TB of storage. Expect to see different storage configurations available in each territory. The H341 includes 2GB of RAM and is powered by Intel’s D410 Atom processor.
