Thecus and Twonky Get Together for a DLNA Media-fest

Thecus have announced a new partnership with media server developers Twonky which will see the company’s TwonkyMedia Server pre-installed on Thecus’ N5500, N7700 series and N8800 network storage devices.

TwonkyMedia Server enhances media serving capabilities on the device to full DLNA compliance, allowing music, video and photo playback on a wider variety of devices including PS3 and XBOX 360.

Additional models are expected to include TwonkyMedia Server later in the year.

    I have to say, Thecus does not have a very consumer-friendly web site… someone needs to take the lead in making this stuff easy for home buyers to understand and want these products.

      None – Synology's NAS drives running the latest software are also DLNA compliant.
