Add-In Update: WHS Health

The guys over at Mediasmartserver.net released another update to their WHS Health add-in, bringing this add-in up to v1.0.0.13.

WHSHealth001 200x300 Add In Update: WHS Health WHSHealth002 200x300 Add In Update: WHS Health

From Nigel Wilks:

Version 1.0.0.13 now has the following key changes:-

  • Logoff option when viewing over HTTPS
  • Improved the drives page, it’s now bigger and has status icons.
  • Status Icons added to Backups, Drives and Shared Folders pages.
  • Translation of XML Date format into a more popular format (the installer will pick MM/DD/YYYY for US systems and DD/MM/YYYY for other)
  • Removed Serial Number from System Information page.

The biggest change we have made to WHS Health is localization; we now dynamically support English, French, German, Japanese and Spanish based on the system or browser language settings.

Localization also exists for the WHS Console Settings page but are based on the language of the Windows Home Server.

About Jim Clark

Hello. I’m from the heartland of the U.S. Lots of corn and beans, although Iowa is a lot more than just farmland. It also has a few computer enthusiasts (no, not me!). I’ve been around PCs since I got my 1st PC XT aloooong time ago. WGS is one of the first sites I found centered around WHS. And the best. Every once in awhile, I do get away from the KB and enjoy time with and my wife and our 4 kids. And I do have a day job.

The MediaSmartServer.net website this the version as 1.0.0.14. Looks like another update already?

See Jim that's what you get when you post early :-)

We had a quick version update because of some Japanese translation changes and we'd already punched in .13

    Blackberry version pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/Dave_Marchant Dave_Marchant

I have had it working fine on my Blackberry since 1.0.0.12. Have sent a couple of screen-shots through to Alex as the only issue is a bit of a jagged Health icon.

@Jim; aren't you -7GMT at the moment anyway? No biggie, but me and Andrew Edney caught your post at 1830 here.

@AshB; I was told it was OK on the Blackberry this morning, if you haven't tried it give it a go on yours.

Any plans for a Windows Phone 7 Series port in future?

      • http://www.mediasmartserver.net Nigel

It should work fine; it's mainly the devices with old browsers that display the pages a little funny. Windows Mobile using IE 6 look bad but Windows Mobile using Opera look fine.It might look like an iTunes app but thats just the look and feel. It works on a desktop as well as a mobile, was just developed and arranged for the handheld devices.
