7.5.0 is released – it wants 7.4.2 uninstalling first, but it isn't in the installed addins list!
How do I uninstall safely?

tryed to install the 742 but got a error 1603 message complaning about another version of Squeezebox already installed, and something about it needed whs??
Thats odd because it figured in add-in in the AVA RS3 menu and of course it already got both
SQbox and whs. Should I really uninstall via control panel?

You can manually start the service on any PC using the WHS Console – the add-in settings tab has a start button. Definitely no need to RDP!

If you try to install the add-in over the existing, you'll be asked to uninstall first.

Yes very nice alright. What is best practice though – should we uninstall the previous version first or install the new version straight over it?

I have experienced the lifeless service, too. I've made the restarting easier by using another Add-in: P80. It allows you to monitor one or more services and stop/start/restart if necessary from any browser. No need for RDP. Using it on my iPod Touch makes it even easier. Check it out.

Have this myself. I really like how it downloads the new update to your addins directory automatically. Other addins should take note and copy this feature. Makes updating to the latest version very easy.
