The Lighter Side: Sci-Fi Themed Home Theaters

OK, I’m a Sci-Fi fan (freak, nut, idiot, insert your own).  I have enjoyed watching the big-budget films.  I have endured the worst of the worst.  I enjoyed watching the original Star Trek (1st run episodes!) and the spin-offs.  No, I am not a Trekkie!  My favorite channel?  The Sy Fy (or better know as Sci-Fi) channel, of course!

My favorites are still those radiation enhanced monster movies of the 1950’s.  It just don’t get no better than that!

OK, enough of my *small* hang-ups.  This is about those with *big* hang-ups and the money to prove it.  Fascinating Sci-Fi Home Theaters will take you on a mini-tour of those fanatics with the funds to flaunt.  I’m not sure if I could spend all my media viewing time in theater seating, but to each their own.

I’m not sure what the high-end and low-end viewing rooms are worth, but a couple of numbers thrown out are $70,000 for one room and $900,000(!!!) for another room.

A couple of my favorites:

Head on over to the above link and check out the rest.  It just goes to prove that you don’t have to be good, just lucky to make it big in the financial world…  Of course, they did mention one is a doctor.  I wonder what he is a doctor of…

From the lighter (media) side of WGS.  Enjoy!

Hello. I’m from the heartland of U.S. Lots of corn and beans, although Iowa is a lot more than just farmland. It also has a few computer enthusiasts (no, not me!). I’ve been around PC’s since I got my 1st PC XT aloooong time ago. WGS is one of the first sites I found centered around WHS. And the best. Every once in awhile, I do get away from the KB and enjoy time with and my wife and our 4 kids. And I do have a day job.
