Win an HP MediaSmart Server in the 2010 WGS Reader Survey!

It’s been a while since we ran a reader survey here at WGS – almost 18 months in fact, and in that time our readership has grown considerably! It’s really helpful for us to understand a little more about who is reading the site and gives you the opportunity to tell us what you want to see more of here at WGS.

So, over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be running our 2010 Reader Survey – we need just 5 minutes of your time to answer a few questions about your favourite subject… you! All of the information provided is aggregated (we need to understand the big picture here!) and of course, you can remain completely anonymous.

To take part in this year’s reader survey, please click here.

What’s that you say? A prize? Oh, go on then – thanks to our friends at Intel and HP, we’ve managed to get hold of an HP MediaSmart Server EX495 as the prize which will go to one lucky reader we select at random! And none of this “only eligible for US residents” nonsense… everyone’s welcome – we’ll ship the home server to the winner wherever they are!

If you’d like to enter the competition, just complete the survey and add your name and email address at the end – we’ll only contact you if you’re the winner. If you don’t wish to enter, simply skip that question. We’ll select the winning entry on February 14th 2010.

Many thanks in advance for helping us by completing the survey, and best of luck in the competition!

Update: Thanks to everyone who has completed the survey so far, and a special mention to those who left feedback – it’s really useful to know how the site is doing, what you like and don’t like and we’ll ensure we read every comment. If you haven’t entered the competition yet, there’s less than 2 weeks to go!

Well that was easy – you didn't have an option in the frequency of visiting the site for me – where's the "hourly" option!

  • Paul

Indeed it was easy, my only comment is on the what you intend to buy question, the problem I had with that one is that I pretty much already own everything on that list, although of course I may consider upgrading some of it… ;)

When/how will the winner be declared?

    • DrewE

Above it says that the winner will be chosen on the 14th of Feb. 2010.

      • DV-Design

Exactly, chosen, not declared…they could chose a winner and only tell the winner. Id like to know when they will declare said winner and if so how they will go about it.

We'll announce the winner here on the site as soon as possible on or after Feb 14.
