  • Zuntar

Love this one, so far flawless install and operation.

This has got to be one of the “MUST HAVES” for a home server!!! Great job Kris!!!!!!!!!

  • dressie

Such a cool add-in!! I finally can check my WHS without a RDP session.

  • Gary

Nice addon but when I add a user that has access only to his personal folger all he has to do is clock on the P80 and he has control to everything….how can this be controlled other than uninstalling which is what I had to do?……

    • Snowdins

limiting P80 to explicit users is not introduced yet. Some day it will be.

  • snowdins

The only users who can access P80 are the users who have remote access.

Very, very, very cool. Especially monitoring critical services w/o a RDP session….Well done!

If it’s there, and I missed it…my bad.

If not, get me current and peak memory usage up on that summary page, and I would pay you for this add-in.

    Great work.

I installed P80 and it worked. Flawlessly! Very comprehensive list of features and really easy to use. I just love it.

BUT (it seems there’s always a “but”) P80 lacks one essential feature which required me to uninstall it: In version 2.5.3 it allows ANYONE who logs in, from anywhere on the internet, to see things and do things on my WHS that I can not afford to allow.

One example, within an P80 session, any old user, even a guest, can disable MY access to my own account on WHS. Hackers would just love that. :-(

IMO P80 functionality should be assoicated with specific log in accounts to make it useful. The best way would be to have P80 install with acess from no log in account. But to provide the means within P80′s Windows Home Server Settings window to click a check box to enable it for user(s) who should see the link when they log into WHS remotely.

Limiting P80 to select users is in the code and has been given to testers last week. The new version of P80 should be released this weekend.

The top nav buttons only work on the main P80/Default.aspx page and none of the others (like Drives/Shares)
