VIA Unveils 64-bit M’SERV S2100 Mini Server

VIA Embedded this week announced the availability of the M’SERV S2100 Mini Server, a solution aimed predominately at OEMs and system integrators, and of note due to its use of the 64-bit VIA Nano processor. Previous VIA home servers have been powered by the 32-bit C7-D processor, a low power chip but one which would not be compatible with future versions of the Windows Home Server platform.
