D-Link Rush, Touch and Pocket Announced

Alongside the Pebble, D-Link this morning announced a trio of networking products designed to enhance speeds of your existing network and help you connect on the move.

First up is the D-Link Rush (DAP-1560), a dual-band device which works alongside your existing router to boost its power up to a reported 600Mbps (real world speeds likely to be a lot less) and greater signal coverage. The rush can also be used as an access point to extend wireless coverage to Ethernet enabled media devices.

The D-Link Touch (DIR-865) is the inevitable move to a touch-screen enabled router (you wanted that, right?). The 3 inch screen allows easy setup  configuration and management of the router and Internet traffic. The Touch packs dual-band (2.4 and 5GHz) wireless, 802.11n speeds up to 450Mbps and all of the other great stuff you’d expect to find in a modern router. But it’s all about the touch screen, okay?

Finally, the D-Link Wireless N Pocket Router can be used as an 802.11n router or access point when away from home. It has a small footprint, comes with a travel case and is designed to share an Internet connection amongst multiple devices whilst in your hotel room (let’s hope it’s a better wireless connection than the one I have in my room here in Las Vegas!)

Pricing is to be confirmed, and you can expect to see all three devices later in the Summer.
