Refreshed Home Computer Restore CD Now Available for Windows Home Server

Amongst all of the excitement accompanying he release of Windows Home Server Power Pack 3 a couple of weeks ago, Microsoft also sneaked out an updated version of the Windows Home Server Home Computer Restore CD.

The 226 MB download is available now at Microsoft’s website.

    The question is : What are the changes since PP2 that would require a new restore CD since the backups haven't changed ?

    A better compatibility with Windows 7 maybe ?

    I think I'll stick with the old CD for now. PP3 has given me enough problems as it is.

    One really sad thing is that is seems like all Intel basic lan drivers still are missing, one issue they should have resolvet are the 100MB hidden Win7 partition restore problem.

    I find it a bit odd that the .iso file for this is not updated and stored on your home server in the Software folder similar to the Connector software. Is there any good reason for this?

    You would think Microsoft would post the revisions so one could make an intelligent decision on using the new disc.

    It does not fix the RealTek driver problem.
