Following our preview of Intel’s latest Atom Home Server platform, it looks like the UK’s Tranquil PC will be first out of the blocks with an Intel Atom D510-based home server, in January 2010.

The company today announced their forthcoming MiDASS Home Server will be based on the Intel Atom “Pineview” D510 processor and NM10 chipset. No other details have been released at this point, but Tranquil PC have a number of posts on their blog today previewing the new chip.

Check them out:

I’m really looking forward to seeing what the D510 can do – it’s a dual-core 1.66GHz processor running at just 13W. More news as we get it.

Hopefully their Mid-ASS home server will have more than the 2 Sata ports found in the vanilla D510MO board. It will be interesting to see how the platform performs under WHS.
