I’m not a big fan of Amazon S3 services personally as the cost model varies depending on the amount of data you have to backup, so it’s hard to know how much you’ll be charged each month. That said, with JungleDisk pulling their WHS backup add-in, and HP de-coupling theirs from the MediaSmart Server software, it’s worth checking Cloudberry out.
The service is advertised as free for bloggers, non-profit and education-related users. Others have a one-time $29 charge for a year. You also have to pay Amazon S3 storage and transfer fees. Amazon storage fees start at $.15/months per GB of data. Transfer fees start at $.10 per GB of data transferred.
