Add-in Update: P80

Over the past month Kris Rodenhausen has been busy working on his add-in, named P80.  He just released v1.3 over the weekend.

What is P80?  They say a picture is worth a 1,000 words (at least 10,000 of mine!), so take a look at this:

All this information is available from the ‘net, including those of you with iPhones and other web enabled mobile phones.

If you have AutoExit 2008R2 or 2009 installed on your WHS, you can even remotely shut down or reboot your server.  Sweet!

fasthair has beaten me to the punch and written up a nice review on the P80 over on Andrew Edney’s Using Windows Home Server site.  Nice review, fasthair!

About Jim Clark

Hello. I’m from the heartland of the U.S. Lots of corn and beans, although Iowa is a lot more than just farmland. It also has a few computer enthusiasts (no, not me!). I’ve been around PCs since I got my 1st PC XT aloooong time ago. WGS is one of the first sites I found centered around WHS. And the best. Every once in awhile, I do get away from the KB and enjoy time with and my wife and our 4 kids. And I do have a day job.

Thanks Jim. Didn't mean to steal your thunder :) It was my first time doing something like this so I wasn't sure how it would turn out or be received. Thanks for the kind comments from everyone.

I think Terry needs to hire you away from Andrew. ;) Also, it is nice to see others out there doing a nice job with the add-ins.

      • Andrew Edney

He's mine and you cant have him :-)

The link is dead, any ideas?

The author has a new version out already (1.3Fa) or something like that. Everytime he uploaded a new version, the link changes. Click on the "Discuss" link. This will take you to the support forums and threads referancing the latest version. Hit that link.

    Hi,
it would be really great if you create a special version for smaller displays(like smarthpones with 800x 480)!
