That also is why I have been confused as to the inclusion of the AC adapter and remote. The UK only site makes it clear that they are included, the international site not so much. I have an email into xtreamer.net hoping to clarify this issue, and will post back with their answer so we US-based potential buyers will know if this is truly a competitively priced alternative. Most of the units from the other companies suggested in this thread with similar features are around 1.5 to 3 times the price of the Xtreamer (except for the M2TV it seems). However, if the remote and AC adapter are truly "sold separately", then the Xtreamer loses much of it's appeal for US customers as it puts it on par pricewise with those other units.
