What options exist for using something like this if your modem doesn't support upnp?
Changing my ISP is not one and I have AT&T Uverse using a 2wire 3800HGV.

Technically, Kevin, you're speaking of the router, even if you're talking about your modem doing the routing. If it doesn't support uPnP, simply manually configure the port forwarding yourself. The instructions to do that differ from router to router. So, Google your router and "port forwarding" to find what they are.

I really don’t care about port forwarding, it’s easy enough to manage it manually. I would just like to use the other monitoring pieces of it.

I previously had a 2wire modem/router when I was using Qwest DSL. I am now using cable again and I am using a Linksys WRT110 router. In both cases, neither router can be seen by Router Control. I would really like to try out this add-in, but I am unable to do so due to the uPnP requirement.

It really needs a way to manually configure to be able to connect/manage a router. Especially since it appears do more than just act as a router controller…

are you able to put a router between your 2wire modem and your network?

My 2wire was an integrated modem/router (wired/wireless). I originally had separates but the router I had was not compatible with DSL. Qwest "upgraded" me for free when I told them I would have to cancel the DSL line.

I’m in the same boat as you. I had an older 2wire modem/router that would display data transfer speed, but the newer ones don’t. I just wish it was possible to sniffer the traffic, maybe it is and I am missing it.

Unfortuneately, even though the LInksys WRT54G series routers support UPnP, they DO NOT support this type of system. Many people have tried and it has been totally unsuccessful.

I tried this too on a Linksys WRT-350N running DD-WRT v24sp1. No luck. It finds the router but cannot fully connect to it. I was thinking of switching to Tomato firmware to see if it might make Router Control 1.1 work again, but I'm quite happy with the stability and manageability of DD-WRT. I really thin this software is at fault.

I had the same issued with DD-WRT SP1 router. As soon as I updated the router to pre-SP2 beta firmware, the issue was fixed and the add-in works perfectly. The reason for this is DD-WRT SP1 had serious issued wth UPnP and UPnP did not work on it most of the time.

Does it support the Sagem F@ST routers provided by UK BSkyB Broadband? I wrote to Felix a number of times but seems he doesn't like to reply to email :-(

Updated to 1.1b and it still does not recognize my D-Link DIR-825 router s compliant. What is wrong?

Has anyone had any luck getting this to work with Tomato firmware 1.25? I see Tomato shows up in the list of used firmware (of course this isn't intended to say it works completely).

It find the router but "online status" always says "loading" with the moving 'I'm working' graphic and the traffic stats and port forwarding info are always blank (and I know there are port forwarding rules set up).

    Any help would be appreciated!
