Looks like HP are running a mega-deal on the new HP MediaSmart Server LX195, which is being offered for $199 on HP Direct when you buy any notebook or desktop.

    ^ What DieHard said. Also, what a way to market it, eh? "This Windows Server 2003 PC is nothing more than a NAS device to dump your files onto." Nevermind the automatic full PC backup, Windows Server-based PC functionality, remote access, ability to run your own email server, etc etc etc… it's just a NAS.

    At least, that's what the connectors on the back of the machine make it look like. Good god, add a VGA port and you'd have a half decent workstation. But without that VGA port, it may as well just be a $200 brick, especially if they market it as just a big network hard drive, totally ignoring its WHS backup capabilities and software capabilities (as a Windows PC)…

    There is a connector on the mainboard of these servers and someone out there has built the cable to add vga, PS2 keyboard and mouse! Just go here http://www.mediasmartserver.net/forums/viewtopic….
    They also work on the ACER home server H340
