My Jasper 360 – manufacture date November 08 – is noisy as hell.

The only way to guarantee a quiet 360 is to replace the case fans – take a look at the lilan-li XB01 case.

Just recently, there was an announcement on the Inside Xbox channel on the Xbox 360, saying that it is true & more details will be available during the E3.

Yes the new boxes are quiet just a hum. These are referred to as falcon or jasper models and any box made since the launch of the elite ( two summers ago) will have these improved components. when a disc is spinning however it is still quite noisy.

to get back to point, this is great news. bt vision will also come meaning virgin and bbc need to get their services on there to round the package (vigin need a new box anyhow ^_-) great news if its true.

I had a core xbox that was got on release, Compared to my new elite 360 it is alot quieter from what I can remember. It has a sight hum but the sound covers it..
