May is going to be a rather busy time for me this year. Aside from the normal outside chores that occur this time of year, I have a daughter being married in a few weeks, and moving a kid back home from college. As a result, I’ve been taking a few days off recently (and more to come) from writing and other things WHS. I may simply be a bit sporadic this month.
So, of course, all sorts of news bits will surface as a result. One of those tidbits of information is that Window 7 development seems to moving along at what seems to be the speed of light (Microsoft light-speed, that is). It does not seem that long ago that the Windows 7 public beta began. Only 4 months later, Windows 7 Release Candidate was released to MSDN and TechNet subscribers on May 1st. And with a public release scheduled for May 5th, it is almost a certainty that Windows 7 will be the hands of the retail outlet long before the end of the year.
Why would a WHS related website find this news? Simple. As Windows 7 goes, so does WHS v2. I have no idea what the lag time time is between Windows 7 and WHS v2, but I hope that it will be a short time lag.
I guess we will be all have a better idea of that when we start hearing about public beta releases for WHS.
