D-Link today announced the launch of their new PowerLine HD Ethernet Adapter Starter Kit (DHP-303), which provides a high-speed (up to 200 Mbps) ethernet connection using standard electrical sockets.
The kit comes with two adaptors (one for an electrcial socket near your router, and another for the network device, for example, a PS3, Xbox360, Digital Media Receiver) and comes with the following:

The kit comes with a secure connection utilising Triple Data Encryption Standard (3DES) to encrypt traffic on the network. You simply push a button on one adaptor, and then the second to make the secure connection. The adaptors also utilise D-Link’s Green technology which powers down the adaptors when a data signal is not detected.
