Neat looking idea. Except I have disabled my soundcard in my WHS, and of course, I have no speakers.

Now if this allowed one to stream to remote devices/computers…

In a similar vein, I think I may be missing something here. Why would this be something I want to do from the Admin Console? By definition, you would be logged into a client computer with network access and almost certainly Internet access. Why would I want to run this through a server admin interface? Is it a case of tackling a creative technical challenge? Or like I said, am I missing something (still learning the ways of the WHS here)?

I think this might be contagious.. cause I’m missing it too.

I mean the only thing that I could see that would make sense would be to have a music stream consolidator so if you had multiple computers listening to the same music stream, you only eat up the bandwidth of one stream rather than one. And have the WHS stream it to the desktop machine. That would make sense, if it was something dealing with bandwidth concerns. Otherwise I wouldn’t care for the app for reliability sakes.

Its just one more thing that could conflict and cause problems that isn’t really needed.

    google translation:
“Ouch … 215 downloads so far … better … 215 downloads to little more than a day. This is very intense, and exceeds all my previous AddIns. Thanks to the Home Server blog and WeGotServed for the link – even if it is in the latter there are already critics seem to give the sense of the AddIns not want to understand.
Admittedly, there are not really make sense … if not more than a longer time in the Admin console is on and also listen to music … It may not cached stream is distributed to it from several computers to be able to get to save bandwidth, and was also not really challenging to program. But it was fun, the AddIn to create and occasionally I use it when I’m on the console ..

So once again thank you and to see you soon

    Regards, Daniel”

Haha. At least he seems to have the proper attitude about it.

Hi, I actually think that this add-in could be useful. I intend to play internet radio through the house network, and since the server is up and running 24/7 why not use it for that? I have wires connected from server's sound card to the amplifier. As I connect remotely to the server using the console, I have instant access to the stations that I like, etc.
My problem is that I cannot get it working properly. It seems that by default the sound is played on the client PC, while I want to leave it on the server. This add-in doesn't offer an option to select where the audio will be played. You can do this with Remote Desktop, but then I cannot use WebRadio add-in, I have to get Winamp or something else going. Any idea on setting up WebRadio to play on server?
    Thank you
