Media Connect Configuration

media connect controller

Experience Level: Advanced

With Power Pack 2 for the Windows Media Server a new configuration application for fine-tuning media shares and which devices have access was included. Unfortunately Microsoft did not make the UI as an add-in and you need to remote desktop into your server to start the UI (c:\program files\media connect\WMCCFG.exe).

This Add-In simply attempts to start the Media Connect Configuration application (wmccfg.exe) and then docks the UI inside the WHS Console. There are still some bugs and you sometimes need to change to another tab and back before the UI docks correctly.
