Update: The first batch of orders have now gone out to everyone who ordered. With the continued growth of We Got Served across the blog, forums, wiki and add-ins sections over the past 12 months, we’re really starting to burn through the bandwidth.
Half way through the year, we split the site up across a couple of server providers, and have been fortunate to borrow bandwidth off on very kind soul in the US (you know who you are) and living on our wits in case our UK provider realises we’ve been 3x over quota every month consistently for the past 6 months and decides to hit us with a very large bill.
So, we’re going to bring things back together in the form of renting a really powerful dedicated server, with a helthy chunky of monthly bandwidth just for WGS which will be based in a server farm in Chicago and will cost us a chunk of cash every month.
This is a pretty big investment we need to make in WGS, and whilst those banner ads you see and click (please) are a big help, we’re going to also run a fun project for the next few weeks by launching our first (and who knows, last) We Got Served t-shirt project to raise a bit of cash to pay for the new server!

So, these are strictly limited to just 100 shirts of various sizes, and are the ultimate in geek-chic… who wants to be a PC when you can be a home server?

The price of the shirt is £12.00/$17.28 plus postage.
