I wandered over to the Toshiba booth earlier, and lo and behold, they were demonstrating the new Toshiba REGZA TV with Windows Media Center.
Apologies for shaky camera style and dodgy quality. But hey, this the internet, right?

@urmaster – It’s interesting – the TV guys all have networked equipment this year, and they were all doing a very careful job of explaining how it worked, in very simple terms. If this translates into what happens in the retail channel to average consumers, I think that’s a *good* thing.

@merdzd – You do get it, as you’re correct. No extra box required – the TV will connect to your Windows Media Center PC and you’re good to go.

So what’s the new part? I thought a Windows Media Center PC already can connect to the TV…?!?!?
12. January 2009 at 12:08 pm
@JeePee – Yes, by plugging in an extra box i.e. an extender or a PC.
News is: Integrated TV = no need for extra box.
