Windows Home Server System Builder Software – Now With Power Pack 1

Whilst Windows Home Server Power Pack 1 was released a good few months back, it’s taken a little while for us to see it integrated into the System Builder software, which is available for self-builders to purchase.

The good news is that it is now available, and is 30% cheaper than it was before, thanks to a price reduction from Microsoft. The WHS team sent me through a copy of the software last week – this is a Not For Resale edition (most likely from the Microsoft Store) so the system builder edition will look very slightly different.

    $118.98 at Buy.com when it’s $99.99 at Newegg. FYI.

Anybody knows where I can order one from a company that delivers in Europe? I’m looking for this version but unfortunately the above company doesn’t deliver (at reasonable transport fees) in Belgium. :)

    Greetings,

I wish people who bought it before could get the new media for a nominal price (must send in serial #) as I just had to do a system restore after a crashed sys drive and I had to do the PP1 after getting the base operating system up.

Hi, I’ve just purchased the OEM version from ebuyer to replace the evaluation version that I got from Microsoft. I bought the OEM version in error – can I still install it on my server equipment or do I need to return it for a non-OEM version?
