Yes, Microsoft removed many functions when it upgraded the toolkit. It is now only a problem reporting device and nothing more. Backup of the main data (not the shared data) is not longer supported. If you go to the backup location on the main connector page and click on the server and say backup now, it will backup the shared folders, but nothing more than that.

I am confused… I had version 1.0 of the toolkit installed and when I installed v1.1, we lost functionality. The v1.0 toolkit (6.0.1639) had tabs for each section and had a “Backup” tab that would let you set the backup intervals and other things… What happened to the additional functionality? Was I the only one that missed it? Version 1.1 (6.0.1800) seems to have no additional tabs. The v1 tabs had some good access to log files also…

The 2.0 beta of the Toolkit was limited in distribution. The Toolkit that just shipped was named version 1.1 (it is the exact same code as the 2.0 beta) – basically the name changed and a few bugs were fixed prior to shipping 1.1

We chose 1.1 instead of 2.0 since the next major version of Windows Home Server “may” have a 2 in its name, however it “may not”

Drashna, beta testers were issued version 2.0 for us to test and I had assumed that it had been distributed. It is obvious to me that it was never distributed at all. That is indeed interestiing.

This is the toolkit for Windows Home Server. It is the connector troubleshooter. There is not a version 6.0.1901.0 as far as I am aware. The newest one is 6.0.1800.0. And the most recent version for the connector software is only recently “6.0.1800.24″.

The big thing about this new version is that there is a working x64 version. The older one would not work on x64 OS’s and there was no x64 version.

I am now confused, I have Toolkit 2.0 version 6.0.1901.0 which I have had for sometime now. What is the 32bit Toolkit 1.1? Was Toolkit 2.0 never issued to the general public? It begs many questions. Who has the answers?
