Top 10 Windows Home Server Add-in Downloads for October 2008

We’re a little late this month collating the add-in download statistics for October, which is wholly due to a short break I had last week over in Japan. So, if you’ve been wondering what add-ins the WGS community has been downloading recently, here’s the results for October!

  4. My Movies for Windows Home Server

  6. uTorrent

So whilst Advanced Admin Console rules the roost once again, the big news is My Movies clocking up a lot of downloads in its debut month, and hitting number 4 in the charts.

    Can you please add links to the add-ins when you post the “Top 10 list”? I just did a search for “Router Control” and could not find the add-in. Thanks!

    @Louis – I just looked at September’s “Top 10″ and found the link to “Router Control”. Looks like you have been putting the links in. Just not on the October list.

    Sorry. I still don’t know why I couldn’t find it with a search.

    Terry – I have just setup a Home Server test environment. Very impressed. I install servers for a living, and reckon Microsoft have missed a big opportunity. HS could equally be branded SBS LITE.

    It has everything a small business (say 5 pcs or less) could need.

    Good site – just deciding what add ins to use.

    @Ian Ashpole – Hi Ian – you’re absolutely right. I know the guys at MS (and other places) are aware of the opportunity for small/home businesses – I guess it’s tricky for them to really go after than positioning and ensure they don’t harm sales of SBS…
