Jungle Disk Acquired by Rackspace Inc.

Online backup specialist Jungle Disk today announced that it had agreed to be acquired by managed-hosting provider Rackspace, for an undisclosed sum.

Existing customer accounts are likely to be unaffected in the short-term as Jungle Disk will still be offering their Amazon S3 –powered backup solution, as well as a range of offerings from Rackspace.
