A ‘brownout’ is a period of low voltage, while a ‘blackout’ is total power failure.

Here in S.Florida, we experience a high number of power fluctuations..especially during the hurricane/rainy season. Often those only occur for a split second but enough to trigger the UPS. GridJuction’s brownout feature limits unnecessary notifications from be sent during these circumstances. Love it.

We have several UPS battery backup systems around the home. One to keep the Cable Modem/Router/WHS running and two other to keep our home office computers/voip adapter/telephones running. If power is out for 1 hour..we are not effected by it.

For it didn’t work – period. I tried 2 different UPS units MGE (USB) and APC (serial) – both no go. Maybe they are two old (5-6 years old with new batteries, but still). I guess will have to get a new one. Any suggestions (US market)?
