Vista Caller-ID WHS – Now in Public Beta

A few weeks ago, you’ll remember that we wrote about a caller-ID add-in for Windows Home Server called Vista Caller-ID WHS. Alexander Kent got in touch this week to let me know that after a successful private beta (powered by many of you, I believe) they’re now opening up the beta to all. So, if you’d like to know more, follow the links below:

I have an HP Pavilion 6700 series PC, and I need caller ID. Is this what I need, and how the heck does it work?
    Thanks!

With my WHS and Media Center PCs being the only desktops on my network (all others are laptops/smartphones/iCraps) it only makes sense for this to run on WHS. I run fax services from this box so why not utilise the modem for this too. Pity it doesnt work. Such a great idea.
    Thanks
